Public Meetings:
KTEP-FM is licensed to the University of Texas at El Paso, and governed by the University Of Texas System Board Of Regents. As a radio station licensed to a state institution, KTEP is not required by the Federal Communications Commission or the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to have its own advisory board.

Meetings of the University Of Texas System Board Of Regents are open to the public, and any meetings that pertain to KTEP will be announced in advance on-air and on the KTEP website at www.ktep.org.

Each Regent's term expires when a successor has been appointed, qualified, and taken the oath of office. The Student Regent serves a one-year term.

Francie A. Frederick is the General Counsel to the Board of Regents.

The Board holds regular meetings in February, May, July, August, and November. Combined committee meetings and Board meetings take place over a two-day period in February, May, August, and November, with committee meetings usually held on Day 1 and the general Board meeting on Day 2. The Board also holds special called meetings as necessary.

Open meetings are usually webcast live. Persons interested in the committee and/or Board meetings and desiring communication or other accommodations should contact the Board Office at least two days prior to the meeting.  Learn more about how to attend these meetings in person or via webcast.

Audited Financial Statements:
KTEP undergoes a yearly audit as required by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Copies of KTEP’s audited financial statements which are submitted to CPB are available at http://www.ktep.org/audited-financial-statements and also in KTEP’s Public File located at the KTEP Business Office at the University of Texas at El Paso. Additionally the Annual Financial Report that is submitted to CPB is available at http://ktep.org/ktep-annual-financial-report.

KTEP and the University of Texas at El Paso does not sell or trade our donor list with any third-party organization, including any Federal, State, or local candidate, political party, or political committee. Each year, KTEP prepares a report for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting detailing the activities we have engaged in to address community needs by outlining key services provided, and the local value and impact of those services. IRS Form 990:
KTEP is a part of the University of Texas system, and as such is not required to file an IRS Form 990. KTEP does not have any employees who qualify to be included in the IRS Form 990 Compensation Information section - Part VII A, or Part VII B.
