Randy Fertel is the author of THE GORILLA MAN AND THE EMPRESS OF STEAK. Randy's father ran for Mayor of New Orleans on the campaign promise of getting a gorilla for the zoo. He received only 300 votes. Randy's mother, Ruth, bought Chris Steak House and transformed it into the now-famous Ruth's Chris Steak House restaurant chain.
