Roberta Martinez will introduce you to urban sketching: the supplies you'll need and tips and techniques to create quick, loose, no-stress sketches wherever you go. You will also be able to browse journals of local urban sketchers for inspiration. Using minimal supplies and basic skills, you can use set-up vignettes to create your own sketches. We will end with a quick show-and-tell of our creations. Bring a sketchbook, a pencil or pen, and the medium of your choice such as a small watercolor palette, watercolor pencils or crayons, or colored pencils.

Roberta Martinez is a co-organizer of the Las Cruces Outdoor/Urban Art Meetup Group and a long-time mixed media artist.
