Alan Bassindale is the retired Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Learning and Teaching, at Open University, a distance & learning university based in Milton Keynes, England. With a current enrollment of over 200,000, this experiment in open enrollment has expanded opportunities of higher education to a world-wide community.
