Chris Telles
Master's Program Student/HostFor his thesis project, Host/Producer/Editor, El Paso native, Chris Telles is utilizing the assets at the University of Texas at El Paso as a ‘lab’ to build what he aspires to become an updated foundation of media delivery and content incubated and generated for and by students via KTEP, by expanding the platform including streaming and ‘podcast’.
After decades of collecting as well as writing and performing in bands, with an undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism from Texas State University (1997), a semi-greyed history of network television and studio system to independent movies on his resume, Telles also brings a music “geek” knowledge of pop, alternative, and various forms of rock (“Both kinds…rock AND roll”) and an untold amount ticket stubs collected.
The show Song Mine is a culmination of all this rolled into one blissful hour of radio (“Side A”) AND “Side B” as a streaming web exclusive found on ktep.org
