  • Texas Governor Greg Abbott is scheduled to appear for a Get Out the vote campaign in El Paso today. According to an ad shared by his political campaign page, he will be making a visit to the Riviera Cocina and Cantina.
  • El Paso Congresswoman Veronica Escobar defended Democratic lawmakers' push for Congress to maintain subsidies for healthcare costs for millions of Americans during a virtual town hall.
  • The El Paso County Commissioners Court has adopted a new outdoor business order and fire code. The law allows the El Paso County Attorney’s Office to enforce notices of violation, pursue civil fines up to $500 dollars a day and seek legal action against offenders in court.
  • The El Paso International Airport will not broadcast a message from Department of Homeland Security secretary Kristi Noem, according to a statement from the city.
  • Meta Platforms announced it will build a $15 billion dollar data center in Northeast El Paso by 2028. Early voting for Texas' November 4th election begins on Monday, October 20th.
