There’s growing concern about more drownings in Rio Grande near Eagle Pass. Two bodies were pulled from the river this week. A jury found Facundo Chavez guilty of capital murder Thursday. He was accused of killing El Paso County Sheriff Deputy Peter Herrera on March 22, 2019. The ACLU of Texas has filed a lawsuit to stop the implementation of Senate Bill 12, a measure that would severely restrict drag performances in public spaces. A plan to add a new swath of land to Big Bend National Park (in West Texas) is moving forward.
