State lawmakers in Texas were back in the Capitol today after Republican governor Greg Abbott tasked them with passing a slew of controversial proposals. Governor Greg Abbott was unable to sell his school-choice priority to enough Texas Lawmakers to get it passed in the 88th Legislative Session. The El Paso City Council will discuss lowering the speed limit on West Side Drive and Upper Valley Road tomorrow. Tonight, the Anti-Defamation League’s Southwest branch in El Paso is holding a gathering in solidarity with the people of Israel.
