The deadline for candidates to file in the City Council District 2 special election is Monday and, so far, four have declared their candidacy. The Texas Attorney General’s office asked a federal court to immediately stop federal agents from allegedly destroying state property near the Ro Grande. The Texas Education Agency is going to appeal a Travis County Judge issued Thursday. The ruling temporarily blocks the agency from releasing its grades of public schools for the 2022-23 school year.
