The city of New York is suing 17 bus companies for transporting more than 30,000 migrants from the border as directed by the governor of Texas. Around 60 Republican members of Congress, including Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, visited Eagle Pass on Wednesday. An El Paso man pleaded guilty to assaulting law enforcement and other charges during the January 6, 2021 U.S. Capitol insurrection. Early voting in the runoff election for City Council District 2 is underway and will continue until January 16. Election day is January 20th.
