The state of Texas is trying to convince a federal appeals court to allow the state’s controversial immigration-enforcement law to go into effect. El Paso County is following the SB4 legal developments closely. The county along with the ACLU of Texas filed a lawsuit to stop the new law. An alleged local-level Mexican cartel boss is facing new charges after his arrest in West Texas last year.
