Budgeters at the Ysleta Independent School District are anticipating an almost $14 million shortfall for next year's budget. The El Paso City Council is scheduled for a vote that, if approved, would send a request to the federal government for funds to construct an overpass on Zaragoza Drive over a rail track. U.S. Customs and Border Protection reports immigrant encounters along the Southwest border decreased in April compared to the previous month.
