The El Paso City Council voted unanimously to address public concerns over health and environmental conditions in South Central’s Chamizal neighborhood. The city of El Paso’s Animal Services department plans on moving a large group of dogs from a former El Paso Times warehouse next to city hall to the former Morehead Middle School campus. All four border counties in the Rio Grande Valley are now under emergency declarations due to the severe drought plaguing the border.
