The research of James Becvar, professor in the UTEP Department of Chemistry, and Co-principal Investigator for the STEM talent expansion program. Becvar is researching Peer-led Team Learning, where well-performing students facilitate learning for students taking a course for the first time. This elite group of student leaders help alleviate pressures on faculty while making a contribution to learning.
