The Future of Food is Female according to Jenny Stojkovic

Food system reform is one of the greatest challenges facing humanity today. On Animal Concerns of Texas, Liz and Tom talk with author, international speaker, and food tech leader Jenny Stojkovic, about the future of food, fashion, and beauty, and the how the world’s most powerful women CEOs, venture capitalists, scientists, and trailblazers are reinventing our food system and saving the planet.

Jenny discusses a terrible incident that changed the direction and focus of her life at the age of 23. In 2020, Jennifer founded Vegan Women Summit (VWS), a global media and events platform focused on empowering women to build a kinder, more sustainable world. In this interview she discusses some of the biases that women face based on a survey she conducted. She is a book author, speaker and podcaster.

Liz Walsh is a Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of Texas at El Paso. She is also a member of the national Sierra Club Wildlife & Endangered Species Activist Team. Dr. Walsh also serves on the Executive Committee of the El Paso Regional Sierra Club Group, and as a board member of the Vegetarian Society of El Paso. Liz is also interim president of the Vegetarian Society of El Paso.
Tom Linney works with the Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) Animal Law Program and is on the board of Pets Alive-El Paso. Among other duties, Tom is responsible for developing and marketing ALDF’s Animal Law Pro Bono Program to interested firms and attorneys and for helping students transition from law student to legal professional. He also provides support to professionals interested in teaching animal law and collaborates with ALDF’s Litigation and Criminal Justice Program to assign appropriate pro bono counsel to ALDF projects and cases.
Paul Castro has worked in various facets of audio production; producing talk and music shows, managing a community radio station, developing websites and podcasts. As a multimedia producer he enjoys being able to tell stories with a community perspective. He oversees operations and content production for KTEP.
