Fall Vegetable Gardening in Containers

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Website

On this week’s show, Denise, John, and Jan offer tips on how to do vegetable gardening in containers in the Fall. During this time of the year, gardeners have a challenging time with growing herbs and vegetables due to outdoor spacing or with areas to grow effectively within their garden and we would like to share some necessities needed, sufficient water usage and selection of crops needed for your garden in this cooler weather. Denise will also provide more updates and information on the El Paso County Master Gardeners programs that will be available for anyone to attend.

The El Paso County Master Gardeners started in 1981 and has been growing in numbers with its Master Gardeners. Once trained and certified, Master Gardeners can volunteer with others who share their interest, gain continual horticulture training, and give back to their communities. These volunteers have contributed more than 400,000 hours of time and talent to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.
