El Paso Master Gardeners Back to School

On this week’s Good to Grow, hosts Denise and Jan and a special guest, Eduardo Rascon will talk about back to school but Master Gardener’s style. Eduardo Rascon is a County A&M AgriLife Horticultural Agent in El Paso County. This week’s program will explore what an Extension Master Gardener is. Which often entails the potential of learning about gardening through the Master Gardener’s workshops, becoming a gardening problem-solver, and sharing your gardener expertise with your community.

From propagation principle to identifying pests and tree care, the El Paso Master Gardener Program is a 12-week educational volunteer training program. It is one day per week, every Thursday from 9AM to 4PM (with a one-hour break included). This hands-on program will run from August 29 to November 14 (the week before Thanksgiving).

For more information on this in-depth gardening class visit the Texas Master Gardener – El Paso website. Deadline to apply is August 16th.

The El Paso County Master Gardeners Association collaborates with County A&M AgriLife Horticultural Agent, Eduardo Rascon, and strives to educate the community through various events, continuing education programs, workshops, demonstration gardens, and services to our local community.
