On this week’s episode of Science Studio, Keith Pannell sits down with Dr. Jordan F. Corbey and to discuss her journey that began in Idaho where she spent time interacting with the natural world. Her time and effort eventually led her to pursue a career in chemistry.

Dr. Jordan F. Corbey is a chemist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) where her knowledge of nuclear material processing and nuclear forensic research are put to good use. Corbey is a certified fissionable material handler and mainly works in the PNNL’s hazard category II nuclear facility. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and biochemistry from Eastern Washington University, and her Ph D. in inorganic chemistry from the University of California, Irvine.

London, England’s Dr. Keith Pannell created Science Studio in 1987 and has hosted the show for more than thirty years. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Pannell provides listeners with a unique insight on the sciences. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at UTEP.
