UTEP Faculty Profiles
Dr. Lee joined the Department of Chemistry in 2003. She has taught more than 10 different undergraduate and graduate level courses and supervised more than 40 UG and GR students. Her research is on the analysis of organic pollutants and their impacts on the environment and human health, and organic metabolites in urine for cancer diagnosis.

Wen-Yee Lee grew up with 6 sisters and their favorite way of passing time together was quizzing each other…and now she quizzes students at the University of Texas at El Paso. Join us as Chemistry professor, Wen-Yee Lee opens up about her first years of life, the process of migrating to the United States, her professional career, and how she landed her current position at the UTEP campus.
