Dr. Heather Wilson loves to see the world from 3,000 feet

We Are UT EL Paso starts another season on KTEP with Dr. Heather Wilson and host Keith Pannell. The UTEP President states that El Paso has become a college town and has the second most educated workforce in Texas. She discusses financial aid for the students at the university, research expenditures, and a record year for fundraising.

Dr. Wilson describes herself as a “morning person” which is helpful when she has to attend virtual meetings scheduled in the Central Time Zone. During weekends, in her spare time, she enjoys flying and interacting with students at various events such as sports. She is constantly amazed by student achievements and life on campus.

London, England’s Dr. Keith Pannell created Science Studio in 1987 and has hosted the show for more than thirty years. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Pannell provides listeners with a unique insight on the sciences. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at UTEP.
Edward Reyes is a student volunteering with UTEP’s radio station, KTEP. He helps with editing and mixing audio for KTEP’s show “Good to Grow.”
