Born and raised in Lebanon as a child of the '60s, most of his childhood and young adulthood years were impacted by the Civil War in his country. Having only books to pass the time and spend sleepless nights, and with two professors as parents, Dr. Ahmad M. Itani decided he would get as much education as he could. On this week’s episode of We Are UT, Dr. Ahmad M. Itani joins Dr. Keith Pannell to talk about his upbringing during wartime, and his time in UT El Paso.
The University of Texas at El Paso’s Vice President for Research, Ahmad M. Itani, Ph. D., is also the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects leader. He works to advance collaborative research partnerships and enhance the strong culture of institutional support for scholarly and creative activities.
