STEVE INSKEEP, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep. Ecologists insist this is good news - more sharks are expected this summer off Cape Cod. The cape, famous for its beaches, has attracted more sharks in recent years. And authorities insist that swimmers need not worry; the sharks are just coming to eat seals. That's the good news, you see. Seals, once hunted near extinction, have come back, so the sharks have too. Officials insist there's little risk to people though some may think they're going to need a bigger boat. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
