Louie talks with Dr. Kathleen Staudt, UTEP political science professor, and Pamela Cruz, UTEP political science graduate assistant, about the upcoming conference/networking event, "Looking East; European and U.S.-Mexico Border Studies."

With the increasing negative press that has occurred over the last few years regarding the U.S./Mexico border and its share of bi-national borders, misconceptions about the vast area's cultural personalities have been prolific in the press and in both countries' Congresses.

The event looks to tie the border business leaders together with the community to talk about the potentials of generating more inter-border revenue through positive nonpolitical rhetoric.
