100 @ 100: Arshad Khan

The research of Arshad Khan, Assistant Professor in the UTEP Department of Biological Sciences, and Director of the UTEP Systems Neuroscience Lab.  Khan is studying the hypothalamus, the small almond-sized portion of the brain which helps control appetite and hunger.  Through animal models, Kahn is trying to map out the circuits and the neural substrates that control eating behavior.
