Greg & Tom talk with Rebecca Gilbert, author of "It's Easy to Start Eating Vegan! Yummy Plants 101."  Rebecca is a former professional figure skater whose career was sidelined by debilitating joint inflammation.  After unsuccessful surgeries and medical treatments, she discovered that she was having an inflammatory response to a protein found in dairy products.  After going vegan for 3 weeks, her condition virtually disappeared.  She created the website http://yummyplants.com/ to help ease the transition for others who might be thinking of choosing a more compassionate lifestyle.

Plus, the ACT Radio gang has a few recommendations if you are planning on cooking a compassionate Thanksgiving meal.  Gardein Holiday Roast and Tofurky are both available at Sprouts Farmers Market on Sunland Park Drive. The Holiday Roast is $12.99 and easily feeds four or five people. The Tofurky Feast contains one Tofurky Roast, Savory Gravy,Wild Rice-Whole Wheat Bread Crumb Stuffing, a Tofurky Jurky Wishstix and a Vegan Fudge Brownie. It sells for $19.99 and serves six. The Tofurky Roast can also be purchased separately.

Have a Happy and Compassionate Thanksgiving, and if you'd like to hear a complete version of the song that wrapped up today's show, Ms. Gobbler's "I Will Survive," check it out here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EW4vgSP-mM
