UTEP Miner Connection: A Community Pantry to feed UTEP Students

Your browser doesn’t support HTML5 audio

This time, El Paso Prime Time's focus turns to UTEP students who come to classes every day during the semester in hunger, not just being hungry for knowledge, but hunger born of the inability to feed themselves while they come to class to try and succeed. Esther Zapata and Leo Gamboa are two UTEP students who spearheaded a campaign to open "Miner Connection." It is a pantry, where students may partake in non-perishable food items, and even some university class supplies needed to succeed at UTEP. For more information or to donate food items, toiletries and other nonperishable items, their email is minerconnection@gmail.com and their Facebook page is Facebook.com/minerconnection.
