Wayne Pacelle is the President and CEO of the Humane Society of the United States. He was one of our first guests on ACT Radio over a decade ago, and he joins us for the first of a 2-part interview to talk about what could be the end of confinement of animals at factory farms. More and more restaurants are sourcing their food from companies that adopt humane practices in food production, and more and more consumers are relying less on a meat-based diet. Laws such as California's Proposition 2, which outlaws confining and inhumane battery cages, are just the start of what is becoming a world-wide trend.
