FOCUS ON CAMPUS: Irasema Coronado

Irasema Coronado is professor in the UTEP Department of Political Science, and a contributing faculty member of the Environmental Science and Engineering Ph.D. program.  She spent the last 3 years as the Executive Director of the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) of North America.  She joined the commission to help study the impact of free trade on the environment of the 3 countries impacted by NAFTA – Canada, the United States, and Mexico.  She talks about the 3 years she spent away from UTEP will working with the CEC, and how she is applying the knowledge she acquired to El Paso.
