Burgess talks about the importance of learning how proteins interact, and which molecules interact best with others. Resulting research has led to advances in fighting HIV, diabetes, and cancer. Burgess also talks about his work with florescent molecules and how they can be used to mark DNA strands or view interactions between proteins inside a cell.
