PERSPECTIVES: Cleopatra's Shadows

Your browser doesn’t support HTML5 audio

Arsinoe, the bright and incisive eight-year-old daughter of King Ptolemy, awakes after a violent coup to find herself abandoned by both her beloved older sister Cleopatra and her indifferent father.  Emily Holleman’s Fall of Egypt series begins with the novel “Cleopatra’s Shadows,” which re-imagines the saga of Cleopatra through the eyes of her younger sister.  Holleman joins us to tell us more about the book and the extensive research involved in its writing.

The next installment in the series, "The Drowning King," will be published in April 2017.
