Queer Latinx filmmaker Jazmin Harvey is the next resident artist of the Border Art Residency. Jazmin’s work blends activism and art. Her residency started this month at the residency’s studio and living space in El Paso’s Five Points neighborhood.
Jazmin is a New Mexico native who started in the film industry in 2015. She’s working on a feature-length screenplay, La Tormenta (The Storm,) which explores the intersection of queerness, white Latinidad, and heteropatriarchy on the border.
