As the semester begins to draw to a close, the academic halls are buzzing as film students at New Mexico State University embark on a feature film journey that will lead them to their first industry jobs and introduce them to film careers that will evolve from their cinematic creation and innovation. Joining guest Host Carlos Corral is filmmaker, colorist, and educator Sherwin Lau to talk about the Creative Media Institute.

Sherwin Lau is a filmmaker, colorist, and educator based in New Mexico. He has worked on independent films, documentaries, commercials and music videos, as well as collaborated with filmmakers all over the world. He has worked for clients such as Warner Brothers, Dolby Labs, Organ Mountain Outfitters, and more. His professional work has been featured in prestigious film publications like American Cinematographer, and he is a DaVinci Resolve Certified Trainer and a professional member of the Colorist Society International.

The Creative Media Institute's program at NMSU is a dynamic, cross-disciplinary program that prepares students for the 21st century in animation, creative writing, digital filmmaking, and journalism.
