As part of con.figure.ation.11.2026, the EPAA is celebrating Black History Month with an Art-Talk & Air-Brush Demonstration. The event will feature airbrush artist Elroy Willridge III. Elroy's artistic excellence won him this year's Black History Month Award with the portrait, "Fur & Frames." It is stunning!!

~Elroy Willridge III is a professional airbrush artist with over 20 years of experience transforming a wide range of surfaces into dynamic works of art. Throughout his career, he has painted custom designs on motorcycles, automobiles, canvas, wood panels, aluminum, and numerous other substrates, combining technical precision with bold creativity.

In addition to his artistic career, Elroy has proudly served in the United States Army for two decades, bringing the same discipline, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence into his artwork.

His live demonstrations showcase not only advanced airbrush techniques, but also the versatility and expressive power of the medium across multiple surfaces.

~Michele Stone is an award winning watercolor artist whose art reflects her love of travel and culture.

Michele works primarily in watercolor and/or gouache, creating portraits and cityscapes that focus on infusing vivid colors in unexpected places. Through paint splashes, layered washes and attention to detail, her work balances structure with a fever dream. Her portraits emphasize emotional connection, while her cityscapes capture the rhythm of the locale. Across both, watercolor allows her to invite viewers to see that life is a myriad of vibrant colors, so be bold.

~New to the EPAA, Nancy Galindo will talk about her striking piece, featuring a portrait of South Sudanese model and actress Aweng Chuol.

Nancy Elena Galindo is both an acrylic and oil painter. In 2024, she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting with a minor in French from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Drawing inspiration from Frida Kahlo and John Singer Sargent, she combines colorful boldness with painterly moodiness to create an emotionally charged body of work.

Nancy's paintings focus on stylized, surrealist depictions of the Chihuahuan Desert, incorporating elements such as eyes, hands, fire, and imaginary creatures.

Other interests include painting portraits, the human form, and recently, pyrography. More of her work can be found on Instagram @n.e.galindo.

ALSO, on the agenda will be a brief update on the EPAA's Crossland Gallery exhibit schedule for 2026 and EPAA Board Election.
