Why are pain and suffering part of life? Silva, through lived experience of Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome and interdisciplinary research and practice explores and interrogates digital monumentality, sacred choral work, pain and sensory neuroscience, thirst, the history and future of medicine, and maybe, nothing at all. Nicolas Daniel Silva holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with a focus in Neuroscience, a Master of Social Work, a Master of Science in Biological Sciences and Women’s and Gender Studies and is a Ph.D. student in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences studying music neuroscience, community, and global health.
