Learning Tables: Birds, Birds, Birds!!

Join us Sunday, April 14th at the Learning Tables for three mini demonstrations of art techniques!

Marie Siegrist will demonstrate monoprinting without a press using watercolors. A monotype is a type of print made by transferring an image from a “plate” to paper which can then be enhanced with many art media. She will demo using watercolor and other water-soluble mediums on various types of plates.

Sue Davis will show the process of linoleum block printing. It can be used in conjunction with watercolor which can be painted in on top of the print, or a "rubber stamp" can be created from the linoleum and applied to the watercolor painting.

Kay Gross will demo how to use a straw to blow watercolor paint, creating a loose and lovely effect. She uses this technique to create "whimsical birds", and will demonstrate how to make your own unique bird.

We welcome the public to join us and to get to know us. Hope to see you there!
