You're invited to a special Book Release and Signing Party on August 23, 2025, from 1PM to 3PM at The El Paso Art Association's Crossland Gallery located on 500 West Paisano, El Paso, TX 79901.

The book, "Our Wild Borderland" A Visual Field Guide, was written and illustrated entirely by Ashton Kaleigh, MCAD Artist Incubator Award Recipient and advocate for nature and wildlife conservation.

"Our Wild Borderland" is a pocket sized book that covers a selection of 40 plants and animals commonly found within our local Borderplex region. The Borderplex region is part of the Northern Chihuahuan desert and is full of diverse life.

The aim of this field guide is to help the curious observer recognize and appreciate the natural world around us. Perfect for all ages! Individual books and Children's Explorer Packs will be available for purchase. The Children's Explorer Pack is a great way to get kids excited about their surroundings and includes their own copy of the book, activity pages, a magnifier with lanyard, and a small ruler.
