Who do you want to be when you grow up? TheNMSU Art Museum invites you to join one of our series of workshops where students will engage in conversations about self-representation and learn photography basics. Inspired by Cindy Sherman's Untitled Film Stills on display in the museum, participants in the workshops will have the opportunity to study the work of Cindy Sherman, then use props, costumes, backdrops, and lighting to create a scene that reflects their aspirations for the future. Some props and costumes will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own items. Everyone will receive a physical print of their image.

Local artist Marcus Xavier Chormicle will lead the workshop, teaching students about the work of Cindy Sherman and helping photograph each scene. Each workshop has a capacity of 20 participants, please register to secure your spot. Visit our website or follow the link below to register
