Celebrate the life and legacy of the Turney Family at the dedication of our Historical Marker.

The Texas Historical Commission has recognized the Turney’s as a significant part of Texas history by awarding it an Official Texas Historical Marker. The designation honors William Ward Turney and his wife, Iva Guthrie Turney as an important and educational part of local history.

All are welcome to the Dedication Ceremony on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 10 am- 12 pm at the International Museum of Art. Please join us for presentations about the Turneys before we unveil the marker. Light refreshments will be served.
