El Paso May 2024 primary runoff election results

Nearly 9,500 El Pasoans voted on Tuesday in the primary runoff election, according to the El Paso County Elections Department.

EL PASO, Texas (KTEP) - Polls are closed for the May 2024 primary runoff election.

A total of 25,466 ballots were cast in the Democratic party primary runoff races for District Attorney, Texas House District 77, El Paso County Sheriff and Constable for Precinct 1, according to the El Paso County Elections Department.

That is a 5.01 percent total turnout out of the 507,865 registered voters in the county.

In Far East El Paso County, Republican voters also turned in ballots for their preference in the U.S. Congressional District 23 race.

The results as of 11 p.m.

House District 77 -

Norma Chávez - 2,742 - 36.10%

Vincent "Vince" Perez - 4,853 - 63.90%

Total - 7,595

Alma Trejo - 11,617 - 48%

James Montoya - 12,585 - 52%

Total - 24,202
