U.S. federal prosecutors saw the end of a more than ten year long investigation of a former Mexican governor this week in the U.S. District Court for southern Texas. Since January, three rural Texas hospitals have closed in-patient services and only offer emergency care. A bill in the Texas Legislature aims to prevent cities from implementing ordinances, including those that protect workers.
