The U.S. Justice Department filed a lawsuit against the State of Texas today over the installation of a floating barrier meant to stop migrants from swimming across the Rio Grande. Twenty-seven bodies have been discovered in a mass grave in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. The border town sits across from McAllen, Texas. The El Paso Scottish Rite Temple’s lobby and furniture caught fire Monday night after someone was seen entering the building with cans of gasoline.
