The city of El Paso’s search for a new police chief is nearly over. It began earlier this year when Greg Allen died. The El Paso City Council approved an emergency ordinance allowing city resources and personnel to be used in efforts to provide assistance and shelter to migrants released by the federal government. A Texas federal judge has again ruled a program that protects undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children unlawful.
