Prosecutors and defense attorneys for the Walmart mass shooter are at odds on when a trial in the case can be held. The gunman from North Texas is already facing 90 consecutive life sentences after a federal trial last year. A new poll conducted by Emerson College and Nexstar Media found Immigration and Border security to be the top issue for Texas voters this upcoming election season. The Republican lawmaker who authored the law is calling on the Texas Attorney General’s office to appeal the ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court.
