The El Paso City Council voted to begin the process of having the proposed Multipurpose Performing Arts and Entertainment Center back on a ballot in November. El Paso Congresswoman Veronica Escobar said the federal government has awarded $15.6 million for community projects next year. The GOP platform released last week stated Republicans have a robust plan to end what they've characterized as President Biden's open border policies.
