El Paso students are back in school. It was the first day back for El Paso Independent School District and Socorro Independent School District today. Taxable value for El Pasoans’ homes saw a calculated nine percent increase compared to last year, according to new figures from the El Paso Central Appraisal District. The state of Texas is back in court today (Monday) over its beleaguered foster care system. The Texas Department of Public Safety has reinstated a Texas Ranger who was suspended following the response to the Robb Elementary School shooting two years ago.
