Two vehicle chases after alleged human smugglers ended in crashes on Wednesday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Attorneys for the Walmart mass shooter say the District’ Attorney’s Office withheld favorable information about their client in violation of federal case law. Data from the FBI show Texas border communities continue to have lower crime rates in 2023 than non-border cities in the United States. A federal judge ruled over the weekend that Texas can no longer investigate voter assistance efforts as a criminal act.
