There are six City Council races and one for Mayor on the November general election ballot. The council races include districts in the Upper Valley, Central, East Side, Northeast and Lower Valley. The state of Texas was back before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals Thursday in its latest effort to stop the popular Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. Eleven percent of the American voter population live in states that do not allow online voter registration, according to data from the Movement Advancement Project.
