A Travis County Judge has granted a temporary restraining order halting the execution of death row inmate Robert Roberson. The TRO was granted to honor a subpoena issued by the Texas House of Representatives’ Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence on Wednesday night. Two men in their 40s have contracted the Mpox virus according to the El Paso Department of Public Health. Candidates running to join the Railroad Commission of Texas, the state’s oil and gas regulator, spoke at a public forum last night (Wednesday) hosted by the nonprofit group Commission Shift.
