The El Paso Public Service Board is scheduled to discuss the sale of over 20,000 acres of land owned by the El Paso Water utility this week. The $6.6 million dollar deal, if voted for by the PSB, a contract will be presented to the City Council for approval at a later meeting. The El Paso City Council is scheduled to discuss the sale of half an acre of public land to the State of Texas on Tuesday. A research team from the University of Texas at El Paso will investigate the impacts of climate change on Pecan Orchards. The U.S. and Mexico have agreed to amend a 1944 water treaty.
