The El Paso City Council postponed an item from their agenda over the El Paso Police and Firemen’s pension fund boards asking for a cost of living adjustment increase for retirees. The item sponsored by Brian Kennedy has already been postponed once. El Paso’s state representatives filed bills ahead of January’s start to the next legislative session in Austin. Texas lawmakers are looking at ways to further restrict diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives within higher education. President-elect Donald Trump’s approach to foreign affairs could have major implications for the global oil trade.
